How businesses get listed, how owners claim their listing, and where the ratings and reviews on each listing come from.
Edmonton Home Services is a directory of home service providers in and around Edmonton. Here’s how it works, for homeowners and for businesses.
How does Edmonton Home Services work for homeowners?
Every listing is reviewed. New businesses don’t appear on the site automatically. Our team reviews each submission before it goes live.
Ratings and reviews come from Google. Listings linked to Google Maps show the business’s Google rating and recent reviews, loaded live from Google each time you visit. We don’t host our own reviews, and we don’t edit or filter what Google shows.
Contacting a business. Listing pages show each business’s phone number and website. Some businesses on our Pro Listing plan also accept quote requests directly through their listing.
Something wrong with a listing? If a phone number is out of date, a business has closed, or something looks misleading, use Report a Listing. Our team reviews every report.
How do I list my business on Edmonton Home Services?
Get listed. Use Submit a Listing to add your business. There’s a free plan, and a paid Pro Listing plan with extra placement and quote requests. Either way, your listing goes live once our team approves it. You can compare the Free and Pro plans before you start.
Already listed? Claim your listing. If your business is already on the directory, claim it so you can keep your details up to date. We confirm ownership by hand, usually by calling the phone number on the listing, before giving you access.
Manage your listing. Once your claim is approved, your dashboard lets you update your description, services, hours and contact details, and read any quote requests.
Reviews. Once your listing is linked to your Google Business Profile, your Google rating and reviews show on it automatically. The best way to build them up is to ask happy customers to review you on Google. Our community guidelines set out the rules for listings.
